Dying Marshes Cause Concern


Some salt marshes along the norhteast coast of the U.S. are dying and the cause is unknown. STORY This type of habitat destruction can set bird, fish and plant populations into a downward spiral. The destruction of vital marshlands can also eliminate an important natural buffer to storm surge and deadly hurricane damage.
