Hybrid Bear
The first documented hybrid bear has been shot (of course) in Alaska. It is unclear whether the grizzly - polar bear mix or "grizolar" got improved gas mileage and fuel efficiency. Tests are on-going.

I presume some dude with a lot of disposable income paid to shoot something bigger than a Cooper and get his macho up. I don't know how courageous it is to shoot an unsuspecting bear from a quarter mile away but there is obviously a market for this kind of thing. The fact that it was crossbreed/hybrid was not discovered until after they blew its brains out.
